Daddy’s Little Girl

I’m probably going to hurt some feelings with this one, but obviously I don’t care. I’ve encountered a bunch of females in my lifetime and during those encounters, one reoccuring theme keeps annoying me. Lets get on the term “princess” for a few moments. Widely used as a term of endearment, “princess” has also devolved in mostly American usage to mean any woman of exceptional popularity, such as the “princesses” of high school prom courts and beauty pageants. The term can also be used disparagingly to refer to a young woman or girl perceived of as being vain or spoiled.
It often conjures images of elegance and self-control, and among the younger generations, is a depiction of all things feminine and lovely. In pop culture, the stereotypically ideal relationship between parents and a daughter consists of the mother and father considering their daughter to be their own “little princess.”
Any person that has witnessed a spoiled grown ass lady, claiming to be a princess, get married on any of these reality wedding shows will completely understand me. These chics actually think because it is their wedding day, that they can declare themselves a princess and get away with what they want. I mean, that was cute when they were 8, but now they’re 28 and they on the verge of needing a good ass-whipping. After a certain age, you have to realize that you’re older now and with this newfound realization you must know that nobody cares about what you think or want but your silly ass! Unless you marrying yourself, it isn’t only your day….now I know a smart husband will let you get away with so much, but don’t get that confused, he has to because he loves you and wants to be with you forever. So with that said, throw you temper tantrums with your soon-to-be husband, because that will only get you put on the social outcast list with your friends and family and where I’m from it will only make it harder on your makeup artist to cover up the bruises and black-eye.
Now, I don’t currently have any kids to my knowledge, but when I do, its a fifty-fifty chance that I have a beautiful little girl. Anybody who knows me, knows that there is a 100% chance that I’m going to spoil the aforementioned little girl. But in reality, she’ll know that I’m just her dad, a regular working stiff and unless she goes out and actually marries a prince, she’ll never actually be a princess.

Now while I’m on the subject of delusional women, lets get on these “models” that are popping up everywhere I go. By definition, a model is a person who poses or displays for purposes of art, fashion, or other products and advertising. So removing all your clothes and posing for a camera (or camera phone in most cases) doesn’t make you a model…well you might be able to classify it as art depending on how you look. So now I’m considered a “hater” by most people, but I’m just tired of bumping into girls claiming to be models….if I’ve never seen you on anything other than myspace or facebook, newsflash honey, you’re not really a model, you’re just cute with a decent body probably. This includes all exotic dancers, current or former, video vixens, current or former, and all other women with a photogenic personality…unless you making money from it, even Wikipedia wouldn’t classify you as a model. This little rant was inspired by a new song by Archie Lee featuring Slim Thug called “Model”.
