H.I.S.D. (HUEston Independent Spit District) – “TruSkoolCrew”

Hue-ston we have a problem; Hip Hop has been interrupted. There’s a renaissance occuring before your eyes and this crew is right in the middle of it. This group of forward thinking music junkies have come together and formed H.I.S.D. (Hueston Independent Spit District)“Welcome to the District..” H.I.S.D. (Hueston Independent Spit District) was born in 2005 through the collaboration of eight artists of varying mediums wanting to introduce a refreshing perspective to the sound and visual aesthetic of hip hop culture, classic soul music, poetry, visual art, fashion, and photography.

Mutual respect and appreciation for the cultural significance and influence achieved by creatively bridging these art forms, brought Savvi (emcee /entrepreneur), Equality (poet/emcee), Scottie Spitten (emcee), Jason “Flash Gordon Parks” Woods (photographer/DJ), and producer King Midas together to form H.I.S.D under the Peace Uv Mine Entertainment Group umbrella.

H.I.S.D. has released three projects, getting co-signs from Questlove of The Roots, Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest and Phonte of Little Brother / Foreign Exchange, to name a few. H.I.S.D. has solidified themselves as a group to watch in the next few years.

Alas, H.I.S.D. returns with their sophomore studio ALBUM / STORY / COMIC BOOK, The Weakend. Picking up where the Summer Sessions EP left off, H.I.S.D. is excited to unveil the latest tasty treats concocted in The Gold Room! THE WEAKEND
